Spring 2014 kick-off meeting on Feb. 14 at 7 p.m.

Greetings NABJ-Madison:

First, I would like to thank both Savion Castro and Monay Robinson for helping out at the Spring 2014 Student Organization Fair. I would also like to thank all perspective members for your interest in the organization. Remaining true to our mission, we would like to move forward in developing you all with opportunities to learn, discuss the media, and find opportunities.

Second, our FIRST GENERAL MEETING will be held on FEB. 14 in the Red Gym from 7:00- 8:00 p.m. We will discuss the future of the chapter, this semester’s events, and the conventions in both Illinois and Boston. Third, if you have not done so, we ask that you complete the NABJ-Madison Spring 2014 Availability Survey which will help us determine when to schedule our events so you could attend. Click the following link to get to the survey online: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1NAt8Nn826au624-vOS581toX6KavLuuevK4y11GV_NU/viewform.

Lastly, later this month we will host a movie night to celebrate both our kickoff and Black History Month. If you would like to learn more information about future events and activities check the NABJ-Madison Facebook page, Twitter profile, and website at the following link: http://nabjmadison.wordpress.com/. Our chapter’s website will most likely have the most updated information concerning events and news surrounding NABJ-Madison. And since the survey indicates most of you believe e-mail is the best method of communication the executive board will continue to keep you updated via e-mail.

We look forward to celebrating excellence in the media!

L. Malik Anderson,
